For me painting examines how light, form and atmosphere interact between eachother. Each painting emerges from the interaction between color and shape, which gives the observer information or emotion. Painters use multiple approaches to layer color and texture onto surfaces such as canvas, wood, paper, or walls, reflecting the world around them and communicating ideas to the observer.
