My name is Tomaz Gerbec & I was born and raised in Ljubljana, the capital city of Slovenia. I started drawing at the early age, so when I was 6 years old my parents enrolled me in the art courses led by Mr. Lado Pengov. I intended art courses for years & I've enjoyed drawing sculptures and various imaginative motifs with various techniques and materials. After finishing school, I had a decade of giving up fine art activities, but many people encouraged me to start creating again. My first steps in the world of music were at the age of ten, when I started playing the guitar. I have participated as a guitar player in a few bands & dedicated myself to produce & release an album. I have graduated from graphic techniques & multimedia (NTF, Ljubljana), where I was among other things closely acquainted with photography. Professor Darko Slavec was my biggest inspiration in the field of photography. His understanding in the world of abstract photography gave me an inspiration to start photographing. Today one of my favorite genre in photography is nature photography. Otherwise I'm also active in various areas of web technology, graphic design & fine arts.
